Spicy Indian Lamb

What You Need:

  1. 1 lb. lamb stew meat
  2. Marinade:

  3. 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  4. 1 clove garlic; smashed
  5. 1/2 inch fresh ginger; peeled and grated
  6. 1 Tbsp. Garam Masala
  7. cayenne pepper
  8. Sauce:

  9. 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  10. 1/2 sm. onion; peeled and chopped
  11. 1 Tbsp. Garam Masala
  12. 3 cloves garlic – chopped
  13. 1 inch fresh ginger – peeled and chopped
  14. 3 jalapeno peppers – chopped/li>
  15. 1 cup diced tomatoes
  16. 1/2 cup heavy cream

What You Do:

1. Mix all marinade ingredients

2. Cut lamb up into small pieces and make sure all pieces are coated and soaked with marinade. Marinade overnight if possible.

3. In sections that will fit your pan, scoop lamb + marinade over an oil heated skillet and cook until brown. Transfer the lamb into another big pot and continue cooking the rest of the lamb like this.

4. When done, add onion and sprinkle with Garam Masala and sauté in pan. Add garlic, ginger and jalapeno and cook one minute longer.

5. Add tomatoes and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture begin dry. Transfer this concoction into your large pot and stir in the heavy cream.

6. Continue to slow cook the yummy meal until the lamb is thoroughly cooked and tender.
